Desert International Horse park Update: DIHP, is one of North America’s largest equestrian facilities. A new general manager has been appointed. Matt Morrissey, an industry veteran managing top tier equestrian events, is now in charge of DIHP’s commitment to providing world class competition on the West Coast. DIHP now hosts 19 weeks of world class competition starting in October and continuing through April here in the Coachella Valley. Matt Morrissey co founded Morrissey Management Group with his father, establishing the company as a leader in equestrian event management.
The strategic vision for DIHP’s future mission to grow equestrian sport on the West Coast and also to ensure West Coast athletes have the opportunity to compete at an internationally recognized venue. Mr. Morrissey has proven his ability to grow events while maintaining the highest standards of competition. Matt is helping to shape the current facility and assist in the development of DIHP’s new location at Thermal Ranch.
