This weekend is full of flavor and an eclectic array of fun things to do in the gorgeous Palm Springs Valley. If you’re in town for a visit or are thinking about buying Palm Desert real estate, this is the perfect season to check out the area and some of the cool things going on this weekend.
On Friday, November 1, there will be several major theatrical productions opening. A live performance of Broadway in Drag will take place at the Palm Canyon Theatre in Palm Springs. A production of The Mousetrap will also kick off at the Arthur Newman Theatre, where it will continue through November 10. In addition, the much-awaited, world famous Palm Springs Follies will begin their 23rd and final season with The Follies: The Last Hurrah! This show is a favorite among people from all over the world, but especially those who live here and own Palm Desert real estate. The season lineup features Susan Anton, Darlene Love, Maureen McGovern, Rejean St. Jules and Frank Olivier. The show will run through May 18.
Also on November 1, there will be extended shopping hours at many of the boutiques, galleries and restaurants in El Paseo’s upscale shopping district, as well as the El Paseo Art Walk from 4 to 8 pm. In addition, El Paseo Cruise Night will be going on from 4 pm to 6:30 pm.
During the day on November 1, from 4 to 5 pm, the Palm Springs Art Museum in Palm Desert will host a panel discussion on “Helping Sustain Artists & The Production of Culture Through Engaged Giving,” relating to the upcoming exhibition, Galen at The Galen. Attendees of this free event get to enjoy a preview of the works that will be featured in the exhibition, which opens the following day.
