DIHP horseshow update from the desert! So, first off, everybody here in the Coachella Valley always referred to the Desert International Horse Park (DIHP) as simply the HITS horseshow. I guess it still is referred to as that, but the main thing is the the horseshow in Thermal, California is readying for the 2024 season. The Horseshow has continued to grow in size and valley power, bringing hundreds of horses, their owners and trainers, grooms, families and of course the thousands of visitors that will head over to watch the competitions throughout the show jumping season. The sport of show jumping is part of why DIHP has a place on the worldwide stage. What an international sport! Many different levels of competition are offered, including consistent options available all season to move your horse or yourself up to higher levels. There will be world class course designers to design throughout the arenas in the park.
The FEI show jumping program continues at a variety of levels with up to 1 million Grand Prix awards. On the National show jumping program front, there is speed action, open classic and National Grand Prix with fabulous prizes! For the youngsters, there is a weekly $7500 DIHP 10 & under Futurity showcases horses still slightly green at the higher levels.
