Polo Updates for 2025. Season is almost here, and the horses and their humans are heading back to the Coachella Valley. There will be 3 clubs offering polo this season. Eldorado Polo Club will continue to host leagues January, February and March, but this season there are 2 additional clubs to add even more fun for the players! All the players and their grooms, and families converge on our Coachella Valley for about 4 months, so they add a ton of activity, fun, and business to our little valley, including real estate. If you are looking to buy or sell in the Coachella Valley, give local agent, Kim Kelly a call at 760-285-3578.
The Eldorado Polo Club, begins competitions with the Women’s West Coast Open on 12/27. The opening sunday of the clubhouse is Dec. 29, then the Leagues begin on Jan. 4, and every Sunday through March, the public is welcome to attend the matches.
Then there’s a new addition to club polo which is Twin Palms Polo Club. This club will be offering 4-8 goal leagues Jan, Feb, and March which is a very competitive level of play. Located in Thermal, California, Twin Palms Polo is a premier polo facility nestled beneath the stunning snow-capped peaks of the Santa Rosa Mountains. Established in 2005, this exclusive venue boasts two meticulously maintained polo fields, a 48-stall barn, lush grass pastures and a dedicated exercise track.
Then there’s Calhoun Ranch, owned by Alex Haagen of Empire polo club fame. Calhoun Ranch has quite a few fields, although the new fields are still pretty young and probably can’t be played on this season. There will be a league probably, and chukkers, it’s still being organized, so we’ll see what they offer this year. But the fact that that there are so many clubs is brilliant! If you are visiting the Coachella Valley, next season, be sure to look up the schedule for one of the clubs and stop by. Here is a tour of a lovely home located right across Ave. 52 from the polo fields. Approx 4400 sf and offering 5 beds/6 baths, including a 2 room casita, a huge lot, pool/spa, and low HOA’s..
