La Quinta’s SilverRock has been SOLD again! This poor place, so spectacular in it’s location, views, nearness to Old Town, the golf course is gorgeous..good grief, it’s just been one thing after another, but it appears it’s SOLD again! Us locals sure do hope it’s finally found it’s owner that is actually going to develop and finish it! Local resident and agent, Kim Kelly at 760-285-3578.
After years of delays and legal stuff, SilverRock may soon have new life! Woohoo! A bankruptcy judge approved a $65 million sale of the property to Turnbridge Equities. (Desert Sun Newspaper)
I’ve lived in La Quinta for over 25 years, and every time I drive by it, or stop to hit golf balls, or play a round with friends, I keep hoping that this time it’s for real. The long delayed project to bring another luxury resort to La Quinta has been stuck in bankruptcy court since August 2024. The previous owner, SilverRock Development Company filed for bankruptcy. That project had been going on since 2014. I stopped in years ago to check it out for clients and met with the developer, Mr. Green. When he told me the proposed price points and HOA’s, I had a bad feeling. Hideaway, the Tradition, Mountain View and PGA are all well established golf resorts and SilverRock has to be competitive with their pricing to get people in. Anyway, here’s to hoping it gets rolling!!
