Vacation Rentals for Horses??? The Luxury Lease real estate business is HUGE here in the Coachella Valley. The Equestrian business is HUGE here in the Coachella Valley. Why not merge the two?? Well, some great entrepreneurs have captured the idea and are moving into the market. Much of our equestrian business is seasonal; horse owners haul their horses into the Valley, compete, and haul them out again. That means road trips for the horses! Looking for horse property help, give me a call at 760-285-3578.
Many of the HITS horse show competitors rent stalls at the horseshow grounds, some buy desert farms, and some do a mixture of both. Polo players do the same at the Eldorado Polo Club and also the Empire Polo club fields. They rent stalls or turnouts for the season, then rent vacation pastures for resting their ponies when the playing season is over.
Many Equestrians would prefer to board their horses in nicer facilities..but how to find them? There are several ways to find vacation rentals for horses…
- Contact a local Equestrian specialist and see what’s available for rent and/or sale.
- If you’re in a state that supports it, search the site Staller.com, which lists local stalls and facilities for lease.
We don’t have an online platform specifically for our Coachella Valley Equestrians, but I see it coming! A platform that enables equestrians to filter their searches and compare among different stabling options. When they find it, they can book and pay their horses stay in a matter of clicks.
If you are a horse owner, or maybe just an investor thinking about a land banking, this is a great time to think about investing in some land. Vacant land runs from rural parcels for approx. $22,000-$32,000/acre for raw land to $50-$75,000/acre for parcels that are fenced and offer a well, and maybe Ag Water also. Finished Equestrian parcels depend on houses or not, barns or not, amenities or not..prices are all over the map! The farm below is 20 acres with a large mobile home, hay barn, 2 bedroom/2 bathroom remodeled guest home, 10-stall barn..check it out at www.avenue61farm.com, or take the tour below..
