Maximizing Exposure of Your Property

Maximize exposure of your home for saleOnce you’ve decided to put your Rancho Mirage real estate on the market, established a listing price and found a realtor you trust, your next step is to maximize the exposure of your property to prospective buyers. While it’s fair to expect your realtor to have a solid marketing plan in place, it’s good to arm yourself with as much information about the process as possible so that you can boost and support their efforts.

If your real estate in Indian Wells or elsewhere has already been listed, it should be in prime condition. It should also be listed at a competitive price, which is something you can work with your realtor to determine. While your realtor may have already given you suggestions for making your home as appealing as possible and for boosting curb appeal, it is up to you and your family to keep it clean, pristine and free of clutter. Buyers want to be able to look at your Rancho Mirage real estate and imagine themselves living there—to bolster their ability to do that, you need to do some de-cluttering and depersonalizing. The last thing you want them to do is walk into a house and see closet space bulging at the seams, a garage with boxes stacked to the ceiling or cluttered countertops. This will make them think your property is less spacious than it really is.

Once you’ve de-cluttered and depersonalized, consult with your realtor to determine what absolutely needs to be repaired in order to attract the best offers. After any repairs are completed, you’ll want to stage the property beautifully. While your real estate in Indian Wells may be gorgeous and picturesque to begin with, staging will still boost its appeal. If necessary, you can consult with a professional to establish the best outward appearance. From that point, you’ll need to take superb photos—or have a professional take them—and make sure your online listing does your property justice.
