La Quinta Community of The Quarry – Market Report

LA QUINTA’S GOLD MINE OF A GOLF CLUB – THE QUARRY

La Quinta's Golf Community - The Quarry . . . One of Golf's Finest

The Quarry at La Quinta offers an exclusive desert lifestyle

La Quinta’s golf community The Quarry is quite unique… and there are many reasons why it has been recognized by Travel and Leisure Magazine as one of America’s top golf communities. If you’ve ever visited The Quarry, you would immediately understand.  Its picturesque location, nestled in a cove at the base of the Coral and Santa Rosa Mountains on an old mining site, creates an allure and feeling of total exclusivity, privacy and security. This is where Native Americans roamed and the Old West once flourished.  Life-size bronze sculptures strategically placed around the property artfully pay homage to the land’s history.

Hidden up a curving entrance road, the Fazio designed golf course at The Quarry cuts a dramatic oasis-like swath up the cove… with manicured fairways and four lakes, streams and waterfalls encircled by lush indigenous landscaping.  Owning a home at The Quarry is a privilege unlike anywhere else in the Palm Springs Valley.

La Quinta Country Club Not Your Typical Club

Clubhouse at La Quinta Country Club

La Quinta Country Club’s spectacular clubhouse offers stunning views of the Santa Rosa Mountains

La Quinta Country Club has a long standing history of tradition and excellence, founded in 1959 by a group who wanted to create a Country Club like none other in the Palm Springs Valley at that time.  And that’s exactly what they did by turning 130 acres of raw desert into a championship golf course in just 8 short months.  By 1962, the USA Championships were held at La Quinta Country Club, bringing TV coverage that put the course in the limelight and eventually attracted the Palm Springs Golf Classic (later to become the Bob Hope Classic) to the Club.

LA QUINTA COUNTRY CLUB LEGACY

Originally, the golf course at LQCC was built solely for the La Quinta Resort.  In 1971, it was purchased by its members and became a private equity club.  Its original clubhouse, a spacious Mediterranean style structure completed in 1966, was damaged by a series of earthquakes and was eventually rendered unusable.  In its place now stands a stunning new clubhouse facility where members can play some of the best golf in the Palm Springs Valley, socialize and participate in a myriad of activities and enjoy the finest dining offering California Cuisine.  Keep in mind that the LQCC is member financed, owned and managed… assuring their tradition of excellence is kept high.

La Quinta Polo Estates Has Appeal For The “Horsey Set”

And why is La Quinta Polo Estates so appealing to equestrians?  For starters, this private enclave of elegant “ranchettes” is located directly across from the El Dorado Polo Club entrance.  How’s that for convenience?  It is also just a short drive away from the nationally recognized Desert Circuit Horse Show in Thermal.  This private enclave within the entry gates off of Madison Avenue is made up of unique custom homes zoned for 2 horses per acre, giving the community appeal to a broad range of equestrian lovers.

Custom Equestrian "Ranchettes" at La Quinta Polo EstatesBut La Quinta Polo Estates’ appeal goes beyond the equestrian factor.   These estate home sites are approximately 2 acres and most of the existing homes are upscale, featuring large private drives, spacious outdoor entertaining areas complete with large pools/spas . . . and some even with tennis courts.  And there are several area country clubs nearby for golfing and club amenities.

Right around the corner from La Quinta Polo Estates on Jefferson St. is a shopping center, restaurants and golf shop.  You’ve got the feel of living in the country, but with all of the conveniences of city living.

The custom homes at La Quinta Polo Estates range from 4,500 to 9,200 square feet.  This community is a well kept secret in the area – because here you can have a private estate property built in an elegant setting.  There are still home sites available for you to create your own dream estate – and have horses if you wish.
