Polo Season is almost OVER!

Both Eldorado & Empire Polo Clubs are ending their 2016 seasons.

The 2016 Polo Season is almost OVER!  Seems like it just started, but this upcoming weekend is the LAST weekend of Polo at both the Eldorado and Empire Polo Clubs in Indio, California.  Both clubs have been busy and the 2016 season has been a success.  As the rigs and horses leave for rest, players, their families and grooms pack up their tackrooms.  Next up for our International Polo Clubs?  The Coachella Music Festival, which is immediately followed by the Stagecoach Festival.   Real Estate has seen an up and down season.  My Equestrian Listings have actually garnered the most interest..both high and low valley.  Tally Ranch at 55075 Monroe St., along with my 5, 10 and 20 acre local farms have all been shown frequently.  Offers have come in, but Sellers, as with residential properties just aren’t lowering their prices!  If you’re thinking about finishing up the season with some house/property hunting, give me a call at 760-285-3578. Our Desert real estate market shifts to a buyers’ Market..

Is this a Buyers Market?  Here in the Coachella Valley, which translates to our 9 desert cities, it sure does appear that the tables have turned!  The past few seasons have definitely been a Sellers’ Market, but as our season progresses, it appears to be a buyers’ market.  Palm Springs on the West side of the Valley is still seeing some strong sales this past quarter, but even there, things are cooling off.  Price/sf. has stopped climbing up, up, up, and seems to be moving laterally now.  What is causing the change to a buyers’ market in our Real Estate Market??  Kim Kelly’s perspective is that there has been a perfect storm beginning in January of this year.  First off, we are in an election year..no matter why, but elections always cause people to shy away from making any decisions they don’t absolutely HAVE to!  The plunge in the oil market, the corresponding drop in our stock market, coupled with the rocky Asian Stock Market, and top that off with the decline in the Canadian Dollar!   [Read more…]
